May Stitch Fix!

I love sharing what I get in my monthly Stitch Fix with everyone. This box is great because I don’t have to do any shopping, and someone else is picking out what they think I might like, this in turn allows me to try pieces that I might not have picked up before.

This month I got a few pieces unique pieces, but I only kept one item in the box. If I get just one item I love and want to keep I think the box is totally worth it! Take a look at the photos of the items I got below.

 

Audrey 3+1 – Esmeray Open Kimono – $42   I have a hard time finding Kimonos that don’t look cheap or that aren’t too bright of colors. I really like this one and I thought that it could be paired with a lot of other colors. I didn’t like the way this fit me so I didn’t keep it, also I also thought that this was more of a fall type piece than spring which also helped me make the decision to return.

 

Urban Expressions – Robi Classic Work Tote – $48   This is the first time I have received a handbag, I did say in my style profile that I would like to receive handbags sometimes. I returned this bag because I feel like I already have a bunch of bags just like this one. I was really happy with the quality of this bag though, and what you cannot see in this photo is the inside of the bag was a beautiful navy and white stripe print. After returning this bag I did think it could have been something that I could have kept and given as a gift. This bag would have made the perfect gift for someone who carries their laptop or iPad around a lot, because it was very large and spacious.

Jolie – Raquel Knit Dress – $34     This dress was the one piece I did keep, I loved the style and the fit of this dress. I don’t have any dresses with this type of shoulder fit. I also thought the price was very reasonable. Although I do feel this is more of a fall dress I think that I will get some wear out of it this summer.

Skies are Blue – Montague Embroidered Top – $48  Looking at this photo, this top seems like something I would be drawn to and even order online myself. However, the quality of this top wasn’t that great. This top was very sheer and it didn’t fit well.

Warp + Weft – Tess Contrast Pocket Detail Skinny Jean – $98   I returned these jeans, mainly because of the color. I am really picky with my light wash jeans. I think sometimes the fade on them can make them look really cheap. The description was high rise on these, I didn’t think they were high rise at all, they were more of a mid-rise fit. This pari of jeans was also the most expensive thing I have ever received in a box to date.

 

This total box was worth $270. If I would have purchased all 5 items, the total would have been $202.50.

Huge Old Navy Haul

I recently have been loving all the things at Old Navy. I purchased all of these items over the course of a few online shopping visits. I also never buy anything at Old Navy unless its 40+% off. Even though I love Old Navy, the clothing seems a little overpriced, but it is always on sale online!

I will try to link what I can with the photo, also excuse the photos, I am no professional photographer, and taking photos of clothes is not easy! I promise I am working to get better!

^This top is no longer available and I am so bummed about it. I bought this top after I watched a youtube haul and a girl was showing this top and talking about how much she liked it, so I of course bought it. I loved it, it was so soft and the style was amazing. Only downside, I bought a Large and it was too big, I needed a medium. So I went to exchange it, and of course they didn’t have a medium in any of the stores I went to or online.

^This dress was cute, and very cozy. The material was thick and this would be a great dress for spring or fall. The dress was very straight and didn’t have much shape, which made it not look the best on my body type. I returned this but if you want a little bit more of a fitted look, this would be great for you! This also runs true to size.

^ This dress is really cute, I was a little nervous about the horizontal stripes, but this will be great for the summer when I just want to throw something on and run out the door. It does run big, and I would recommend sizing down. I did get a large but I could wear a medium no problem. I kept the large because I plan on doing a little knot at the bottom.

^I got this dressy sweatshirt because we haven’t had much of a spring so far here in Indiana. I still needed some warmer tops to wear to work. I like this this was a cozy sweatshirt with a dressier flare with the ties. This fits true to size, and I purchased a large.

^This picture is horrible and doesn’t do this justice. Again, I like that this was a dressier sweatshirt. I love the tie down the front. Again, this fits true to size and I purchased a large.

^I needed some more close toed shoes for work, I saw these sueded flats and I thought they would add a little something to some outfits this spring and summer. They fit true to size, and I purchased a size 7.

^Okay, this is obviously not for me. This little cover up is for my niece. Her birthday is in May and since they were always having these great sales, I picked up a few thing for her and my nephew. I love this little terry cloth dress, she’s going to get a lot of use out of this this summer. This seems to run true to size, I purchased a 3T.

^Again, not for me. I loved the look of this little shirt for my nephew. It is so hard to find him clothes that don’t have a ton of words on it, or look to kiddish. Little girls have such cute clothes but its hard to find boys stuff. However, I did just buy him some shirts from Old Navy today, and they are really cute! I had to return this shirt because it just looked too small for him. He is transitioning into the big boys department so this just wouldn’t have fit very long. This shirt is a size 5T.

^I got Ellie this sweet little sweater for her to wear over all her little dresses. A little girl can never have too many sweaters, they can always wear these over little dresses or tanks. This little cardigan is size 3T

^I love the message of this shirt and that Old Navy did a shirt for International Womens Day. However, I hated the way this looked on me. The color is atrocious. Why couldn’t they do a standard white tee? I had to return because it just didn’t go with my skin tone. This is no longer in stock, but you might find it in store on the clearance rack.

^I liked this sweater, it did run a bit big. I purchased a large but could have worn a medium. It does run a bit big in the shoulders/arms. I love how long it is, it goes to the knee area and looks great with leggings and a long top.

^After I returned the little hawaiian top above for my nephew, I saw this cute little tank top in the boys section. It is a boys small and I think it will fit him through the summer. It does look like a slim top, so its not going to be baggy.

^Love this sweater, it covers the butt area, and it is a fun color. This is going to be a great for spring and summer when it is a little brisk. This will also be great in the Fall because of the mustard colored stripes. This does run true to size and I purchased a large.

^I purchased this henley because it was on sale. I wasn’t sure I was going to like it that much, but I love it! I love the fit, the scoop neck, the hem line and the length of the sleeves. It is kind of hard to tell in the photo but the color is also great. It is a navy/green color, and looks so good on. I purchased 2 other colors online today because I love this so much. It does run true to size, I purchased a large. If you want these they are around $5 currently on clearance. Run don’t walk to get these!

^I bought this hoping to wear it for St. Patricks Day, but it didn’t come in the mail on time. I kept it anyway because it looks good. The horizontal stripes don’t make me look bigger than I am, and I like the side slits. This fits true to size and I purchased a large. This sweater is no longer available.

^I saw these loafers in store but wasn’t so sure they would look too grandpaish. However, that is what kind of drew me to them. I thought they would be great with some seaters in the fall, and I like the way they look on. They have other colors that I have contemplated purchasing as well.

^These booties are the best, I don’t see this color in stock anymore, they only have a bone color, but I am sure they will have these again in the fall. I got these because I needed some flat booties. The ones I have now all have a bit of a heel and clack when I walk thought the office and I don’t like that. These fit true to size and I purchased a size 7.

^I just love these little shorts for my niece. I just got her a 3 pack of little tank tops that will all go great with these shorts. I can’t wait to see her in these this summer! I purchased her a size 2T because she is pretty tiny on the boots half.

^Check out how sweet this little floral dress is. My niece has red hair and just looks so cute in baby pink. Dressing her in little dresses is so easy and make her look extra sweet. I got her a size 3T.

^My nephew gets so hot at night, I saw these pj’s on clearance, and unfortunately they don’t have them anymore, nor do they have any like them. You can’t really tell from the picture but they are sleveless. I bought him a size larger so they would fit him for a while. The pants are a little big but we just roll them once and they are fine and the shirt fits him perfect. I bought him a size 7.

^I love Old Navy’s nightgowns. They are so soft and my niece loves them. I saw this one on clearance and I had to pick it up. I got her a 2T so it should fit her through the summer. I would have gotten a 3T but it wasn’t available.

^Check out these little mermaid pjs, how sweet. I just helped clean out my nieces pj drawer recently and she has outgrown a ton of them so I knew I wanted to get her a couple pairs for her birthday. These are a 3T and of course the pants are going to be big but the top will fit just fine.

^More little girl pjs. These is a short and t-shirt set. I got her a 3T and she just looks so cute in pastels. I know these are going to look so cute on her.

^I got these striped leggings because I thought they were cute and added something extra but not too much extra. I don’t see them online anymore, but I also really want to get the ones linked as well. I love Old Navy leggings and always buy them in black. I can wear a medium but they are cotton and shrink so I get a large.
